Upside Down Crown
This bar chart maps the dynasties of kings whose empires have never ended. Like the old trees that have somehow conformed to the sidewalk, they have become features of the cityscape. In fact, perhaps they are the city. An eye atop the thrustup monoliths watches all the sky. For hours now a man on the sidewalk has jingled his change.
The faceless walker who moves as though stuffed is transparent under the studio lights.
