An update on my Blood Lake in Baghdad discovery on Google Earth. BOING BOING ‘the directory of wonderful things’ have published some speculation on what it may be. Note in the story that the author has ‘forgotten’ who recommened this map link. Real nice. Not long after I published the pic on my website someone posted a comment about it HERE at GODLIKE PRODUCTIONS. Anyway, I am glad that it is stimulating discussion. There is much to be discovered on Google Eath. It’s a very very big map and ‘they’ have not airbrushed everything ‘they’ think we should not be seeing.

A FRUSTRATED artist who planted a fake bomb outside the National Gallery of Victoria will spend three months behind bars. Colin Douglas Barnett, 46, of Cranbourne North in Melbourne’s southeast, pleaded guilty in the Victorian County Court to one count each of creating a bomb hoax and causing a public nuisance, and two counts of making a false report to police.

The story concludes with the Judges statement ;

“You’re an artist and believe yourself to be a good artist,” Judge Hart said. “You believed that you had not been given the recognition that your work deserved and you sought to rectify this.” Judge Hart said Barnett’s motives were not malicious but his behaviour was stupid and reckless.

Let me get this straight - The Artist pleaded guilty one count each of creating a bomb hoax and causing a public nuisance, and two counts of making a false report to police. But, he was jailed for believing he was a good artist and for being stupid and reckless. Nope, does’nt sound FACIST at all.
