"Brentley Frazer is a radical poet, one of Australia's most troubling poet/editors - political, excitingly angry, playful - A Dark Samadhi is one of the best books of the 21st century, it is extraordinary - he's one of Australia's best..." - Todd Swift, London 2009

FASCIST WATCH

THE FATE OF ALL DICTATORS

thedictatorsfatebrentleyco
I have never had any readers in China because my website is censored by the Chinese government - am I to suffer the same fate in my own home country of Australia? Just recently internet giant Primus, one of the internet service providers involved in the Australian Government’s mandatory filtering system trials, has compared the new filtering process to China’s harsh censorship laws. Don’t get me wrong, I, like any sane person, am all for the eradication of sites which trade in images of the sexual abuse of minors or depictions of beastiality, but the government have already stated that they will not be able to prevent these things. So what exactly is it that they are seeking to control? In the latest issue of the Reporters without Borders handbook for bloggers and cyber-dissidents it says in the introduction that Bloggers cause governments anxiety, that they raise sensitive issues that the main-stream media dare not cover - I think perhaps this is the real reason, that and the fact that the Australian government has been bought out by China. I wonder if the universal sign of the raised middle finger translates in China? Middle fingers up to our fascist overlords in Canberra, middle fingers up to the fascist government in China.
